Weather for tea?

Isn’t it strange how we feel about tea, the weather seems to predetermine which tea we drink, well it does sometimes for us.
For beautiful sunny weather I like a light Darjeeling. There again what weather isn’t good for drinking tea? We were in the garden this week in some fantastic sunshine, working as you do, 2 tonne of compost and topsoil arrived. It was one of those unusual anomalies where the weather was very warm for this time of year. Well several barrow loads later and the first layer came off. Fifteen barrows later and time for a real tea break.
Now not only was this weather for tea and out in the open working but what tea? With the combination of the two we decided on a strong Assam, or as some people call it Builders Tea. A nickname I often deride when people as us in Chai deli for a builders mug. So the tea for this weather and working in it was an Assam, of and please don’t shout but with milk and sugar. It was needed, and it hit the spot. So tell us whether weather for tea is your cup of tea. Hot tea and cake on a winters day maybe?
